Hello! I was wondering how to become a volunteer for QOV. I wanted to see if I could help to present the quilts to Veterans. I will let you know that I am not a Veteran but I would love to be able to help present quilts for you in my area. I do have a job and work closely with Veterans.

I started a Quilts of Valor program at my guild on Northern California about 5 years ago. I recently moved to Laguna Woods and am interested in getting involved in Quilts of Valor locally. Where and when do you meet? Please send me ibfo about your group.

We meet every Thursday from 12:30-4:30 (except holidays-so no 11/22 or 12/27) at Thompson Park 14001 Bellflower Blvd in Bellflower, CA 90706. We’d love to have you join us. If you have a portable machine, bring it, we usually have supplies for projects to work on unless you are working on one of your own. So far, my group has made 5,121 quilts and this year alone have awarded 388, with many more scheduled, especially with Veterans Day around the corner!
